# About LearnPearl: independent by design

https://www.learnpearl.org/about/ · Checked October 20, 2026 · Beginner

LearnPearl exists to be the clearest, friendliest independent way into Pearl. It is not an official project site, a token issuer, a wallet provider, an exchange or a mining pool.

## Key takeaways

- Every claim is labeled: live and verified, officially planned, third-party evidence, or scenario.
- Protocol facts come from the code and official papers; where they disagree, the code wins.
- No accounts, no cookies, no tracking. Tools run in your browser.
- Written by the LearnPearl editorial team, for education only. Not affiliated with Pearl Research Labs.

## Our mission

Early technical projects are documented for researchers and developers first. Everyone else learns from scattered videos, pool tutorials and social posts. That gap creates avoidable custody mistakes, mining losses and misinformation.

LearnPearl turns primary sources into clear learning paths without hiding uncertainty. The goal isn’t to make Pearl look safe or dangerous. It’s to make the current evidence understandable, and learning it a pleasure.

> **Pearl Guide is now LearnPearl.** This site launched as Pearl Guide in August 2026. Same independence, same sourcing rules, a new name, and a lot more to learn from.

## Who runs LearnPearl

LearnPearl is written and checked by the LearnPearl editorial team. We are independent: we have no relationship with Pearl Research Labs, and it doesn’t fund, review or approve anything we publish. Nor do we speak for any exchange, wallet, pool or token issuer.

The site exists for education. Nothing on it is financial, investment, legal, tax or mining-profit advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or mine PRL. Decide for yourself, from the sources, and with a qualified adviser where it matters.

Every page is checked against its primary sources. An automated check also compares the site with Pearl’s releases, code, chain and official pages every day, and the editorial team reviews each change it proposes before it’s published.

## Four kinds of claim

- **Live and verified:** You can inspect it now · Releases, public code, network parameters and working integrations, tied to a primary source and a date. · _Live_
- **Officially planned:** Roadmap, not reality · Announced products and development work stay labeled planned until something usable ships. · _Planned_
- **Third-party evidence:** Attributed, never laundered · Partner claims, papers, benchmarks and critiques keep their authors and their limits. · _Third-party claim_
- **Scenario and analysis:** Assumptions in plain sight · Calculators and estimates are tools for testing an idea, never forecasts or live data. · _Scenario_

## Editorial standards

- Protocol claims link to the code or the official whitepapers, and every guide lists its sources.
- Release and compatibility claims are dated and checked against the official repository.
- Project claims, independent measurements and our own inferences are labeled separately.
- Material criticism is included when it changes how a reader should judge risk.
- Corrections change the page, update its date, and are described when a reader could otherwise act on the wrong information.

## Our rules for automation

Automated tools may help monitor sources, spot changes, classify events and prepare first drafts. That work is an input to publishing, not a stamp of authority.

- Automation may not mark a claim verified without a named source.
- Anything touching security, money, compatibility or custody gets explicit human review.
- Model-generated debate or probabilities are never presented as independent evidence.
- Automated text is never published under an invented or borrowed human identity.

## Corrections and changing facts

A changing fact is updated in the evergreen guide and recorded in the dated [newsroom](https://www.learnpearl.org/news/). Material errors are corrected promptly and the page’s review date changes.

Status is a lifecycle, not a permanent badge: announced, shipped, active, paused, resolved, superseded or disputed. Something that shipped can later become unsafe or inactive.

## Privacy and local tools

LearnPearl has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no ads. The calculators and the meme studio run entirely in your browser; images you add to the meme studio never leave your device.

Your learning progress and quiz scores are saved only in this browser’s local storage, and you can clear them from the [learning hub](https://www.learnpearl.org/learn/). The live network panel reads public chain data through this site’s own address. The optional “Latest” price button in the calculators asks CoinGecko directly from your browser.

## Commercial and affiliate policy

LearnPearl may one day earn revenue from clearly labeled referrals, sponsorships, tools or partnerships. Payment will never buy a factual claim, a ranking or the removal of a material risk. Any compensated link will be disclosed right next to it. For wallets, node software and other security-sensitive downloads we always link to the official source.

> **Current status.** There are no commercial partners, sponsored links or referrals on LearnPearl.

## Relationship to Pearl Research Labs

LearnPearl is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Pearl Research Labs. References to Pearl, PRL, software names and project materials are used for independent education and commentary.
